Monitors projects and problems, balances assignments and priorities, and performs follow-up with school administrators. Conducts analysis, evaluates alternative solutions, prepares written reports and recommendations, presents recommendations, identifies the solution and collaborates with Technology Coordinator to implement solutions. Collaborates with Technology Coordinator on future project requirements and needs for both schools and technology department. Recommends changes that will benefit the school and district. Provides professional development, training and support to Technology Support Specialist. Acts as a role model in guiding and developing work habits, technical skills, and conveying a culture of education technology excellence to staff member conveying a strong team presence. Ensures that building level goals, district initiatives and state mandates concerning technology are implemented systematically, with fidelity and in a timely manner. Track and Report Technology Assets as needed for life cycle replacement, ensuring accurate inventories are maintained in the Inventory System and that Fixed Asset Folders are neatly and accurately filed. Assist Technology Coordinator with developing training materials and procedures manual for documenting technology department processes and procedures. Represents a dependable team member with a systematic approach to support excellence in educational technology. Represents and conveys departmental and District goals at school level meetings to achieve consistent high levels of success. Maintains and conveys a professional behavior that represents the department and District with integrity. Assist Technology Coordinator develop and present training material to staff when new topics need to be presented at staff meetings or conferences. Responsible for approving leave and travel of supervised staff. Responsible for completing annual reviews on supervised staff to be signed off by Technology Coordinator and Director of Technology. JOB SPECIFICATIONS EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma, two or four year degree or equivalent training/certifications/experience in computer-related field. Minimum six years of experience within the 㽶Ӱ Technology Department as a Technology Support Specialist. Experience in supporting computer systems in a public K-12 environment is preferred.
